The result is bright colors, vivid text, and clear graphics. Thanks to a pixel density of 299 pixels per inch (PPI), the tablet renders images fluidly and brilliantly.

Watch Movies, TV Shows, and More in HD

Made for watching high-definition video, the Galaxy Note 10.1 has a 16:10 aspect ratio, so HD content fits perfectly.

Built-In Cameras for Photos, Video Chats, and More

Equipped with an 8-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with an LED flash, the Galaxy Note 10.1 allows you to snap pristine photos and record 1080p HD video. The tablet also has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats with friends and family members.

And like Samsung’s Galaxy S4 smartphone and the Galaxy Camera, this tablet includes fun photo features. Eraser allows you to remove photo distractions with just a touch, Dual Camera lets you take front and back photos simultaneously, and Drama Shot captures every frame of subjects in motion.

Thin Design and Fast Performance

This powerful tablet provides fast performance in a sleek design that’s comfortable to hold. It features Samsung’s most efficient processor for fast Web browsing and multitasking and longer battery life.

Dolby Virtual 5.1 Surround Sound for Rich Audio

Samsung’s handwriting-to-text engine automatically converts your written notes to digital type. The S Pen offers precise control along with access to shortcuts to a wide range of S Pen functions via the Air Command feature.

Curated Content with My Magazine

Built into the Galaxy Note 10.1 is Samsung’s My Magazine feature, which you can personalize with your favorite news sources, celebrities, sports teams, musical artists, and Twitter streams. Access it from the home screen by simply swiping up. My Magazine provides an easy, convenient way to keep track of everything that’s important to you.

Multi Window Lets You View Two Apps at Once

With Samsung’s Multi Window feature, you can place two applications side by side and use them both at once. You can drag content from one app to the other, or even open the same app twice–handy if you’re writing two email messages at once, or you want to reference two websites side by side.

Functions As a Universal Remote Control

Watching television just got simpler, thanks to the Galaxy Note 10.1′s built-in IR blaster, which allows you to use the tablet as a universal remote control. The Samsung WatchON feature lets you type in your zip code and cable provider to browse and search current TV listings and get personalized recommendations based on your viewing history.

Comes with Pre-Loaded Content

As a bonus, the Galaxy Note 10.1 comes with a free three-month membership to Hulu Plus. With Samsung Hub, you can buy digital music, books, movies, and games and share content across all your Samsung Galaxy devices. Also included with the tablet is a free two-year subscription to the Dropbox online file-storage service, as well as one year of free Boingo Wi-Fi access.

Read Books, Magazines, Textbooks, and More

Thanks to its vivid 10.1-inch display, the Galaxy Note 10.1 works wonderfully as an e-reader. Included with the tablet are 3 months of access to the New York Times’s digital newspaper, along with 12 months of access to Bloomberg Businessweek+ and 2 months of access to the magazine app Zinio. In addition, the tablet comes with 3 months of access to audiobooks from Audible.com.

Best Tablet I have ever owned, for a premium price. This is by far one of the nicest tablets I have ever owned, It’s fast, nice to look at, nice to hold, and has a lot of features that you can’t find anywhere else.(Before this review is read, I just want to draw attention to some difficulties that could come into play if you are upgrading from last years model. S-note uses a different file type so you have to convert to have access to old notes from the previous version which takes time. There are some other possibly troublesome…

Finally, a tablet that thinks with you and not for you. I’ve been holding off on jumping into the tablet game as every tablet out there was just another vehicle for access to entertainment and “intuitive” decimation of information (which I think mostly means without human thought or involvement). While entertainment is great, my tvs, phones and laptops had that covered. I’d been holding out for a device that could do something those others didn’t already have covered. A device that combined time – tested methods (handwriting commits things to…
